It is the Journey not the destination! Took me two days longer than expected, but I finally make it to Yosemite! On the way to Yosemite I wandered around the Nevada/California border. I stumble into Virginia City Nevada. I was talking to a barista at Starbucks (yes, I caved in) and he recommended a couple of areas to go visit when I go to Lake Tahoe, but he suggested a quick stop at Virginia City: Then onto Lake Tahoe where I spend the night "boondocking." I talked to a volunteer at the visitor center who gave me tips on where to go to camp for free and also where to go for nice solitary hikes. He also suggested I visit Bodie State Park. So I spent a day and half in the Tahoe area. Then headed to Bodie on 395 towards Yosemite - on the way I stumbled into another salt lake "Mono Lake"
