Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota! Another "never been here" before state. After NY I headed to Ohio.  A friend from my group fo motorcycle driver awesome women friend found me a safe spot to park in Cleveland.  I spent some time in lake Erie -  took a nice little walk and then I headed to Illinois. OHH yes - I found Historic Rt 20!!  I kept on it all th way through Michigan but it is taking way too long so I am going to cheat and jump on the highways from here to Yellowstone . . A friend from church procured for me a safe spot to park overnight in Chicago!! It was raining and I felt like I would need a kayak before the night was over. Now have an uncle Jim! :) While driving through Wisconsin I stumbled into the "Cheese box" .... Bought some cheese to bring to my host's but half it was "gone" by the time I made it into Minnesota. It evaporated ... that ...

My Personal Westward Expansion Not to be confused with " The Westward Expansion "  - I am sitting in Ohio... first time I've ever been to this state! So the "never have I ever" part of the trip starts tonight. I traveled through Letchworth State Park - Wow! I saw the house that the rich guy left to the state - perfect spot for a romantic get away! Or honey moon? Beautiful architecture and that "old New York" charm.  The trails are easy to follow and the smell of fall is everywhere... the sounds, the smells, the crisp air and the roar of the water! What a wonderful place. I learned a new term today "Mooch-docking" or borrowing other people's resources while visiting them... it applies to people who show up with the RVs and need electricity and water... I am not doing mooch-docking, rather "Driveway Surfing" at friend's friend's locations. "Couch Surfing" when I visit said friends, who then ...
