The tradition to honor loved ones who have passed on, predate the Spanish colonization of the Americas. Each country in Latin America has a special way of commemorating the "Santos Muertos." This year I was fortunate to be visiting Mexico. The traditional celebrations are known world wide and after the bond movie and Co-co the "catrinas" and "catrinos" are now part of pop culture.
