Zion National Park - A New Valley of Wonders

"A New Valley of Wonders" Artist Frederick S. Dellenbaugh published an article about Zion Canyon in the January 1904 issue of Scribner's Magazine. Speaking of the Great Temple, he said: One hardly knows just how to think of it. Never before has such a naked mountain of rock entered our minds. Without a shred of disguise its transcendent form rises pre-eminent [sic]. There is almost nothing to compare to it. Niagara has the beauty of energy; the Grand Canyon of immensity; the Yellowstone of singularity; the Yosemite of altitude; the ocean of power; this Great Temple of eternity.

I came, I saw, and I was conquered

After spending some time at Death Valley I headed to see life! Water is life: Arizona Nevada Nevada - Arizona - Nevada - Arizona.... Yes I did the geeky thing and jumped from one place to another :)  Then I headed up to Zion via Lake Meade: Tomorroe Zion National Park
